_Karate club costs.
We all know that sports clubs, even not- for -profits clubs, cost money.
At Burlington Chito Ryu Karate Club we keep the fees as low as we can but we still need to pay the rent!
Our instructors are all volunteers.
All funds exceeding our immediate costs go towards supporting our athletes at tournaments, upgrading equipment, hosting guest instructors and clinics etc.
Juniors ( 8-14 ) pay 350$ per season. We release them July and August when many families make summer plans.
Adults pay 350$ per year also-2 payments January and June.
Family rates are available
(2 Members is $550.00 per season)
(3 Members of family is 650 per season)
We take cash or cheque-thank you.
In addition to our monthly club dues, we all pay a yearly membership fee to Canada Chito Ryu Association and the Ontario Karate Federation.
These mandatory fees allow us to remain part of the Chito Ryu Federation and to participate in Chito Ryu and Ontario Karate Federation programs and tournaments.
These fees also allow us to insure our members while doing karate programs.
National and Provincial Chito Ryu registration is 30$ per year.
Karate uniforms - called 'gi' are mandatory. Purchasing one from us is not.
We do sell them at a very reasonable price (35-40$) due to our Club affiliation with a local supplier but, again, please feel free to shop around.
Miscellaneous - Partial belt (stripe) gradings are free. You will only be charged if you or your child advances a full belt colour-and that charge will cover the cost of a new belt and the certificate of rank. You will be informed ahead of time what any grading fee will be.
Other items, such as crests, manuals, club wear etc. are available. Just ask.
